About Flora & Flow

Yoga with room to explore.

Flora & Flow is rooted in movement, breath, curiosity, and the idea that there's no single right way to move through the practice.

There's space here to build strength, slow down, ask questions, try something new, and meet yourself where you are that day.

Meet Mary

Hi, I'm Mary, a yoga teacher in Estero, FL.

I came back to yoga on a random Friday after years away from my practice. When I walked into the studio, I noticed a sign-up for Yoga Teacher Training. Something about the timing felt serendipitous, so I signed up.

Coming back to yoga reminded me how good it feels to come home to yourself.

Not to compete with yourself or anyone else. Not to force your body into the version of a pose you think you're suppose to reach. But to listen. To notice. To breathe. To be still. To pay attention to where you are and recognize that the practice is already happening there.

One of my favorite teachers, Karin Stephan, often says, "The way there is there."

I've found that idea reaches far beyond the mat. The process of becoming, learning, building, changing, or simply showing up isn't separate from where you're trying to go. It is the way there.

That's what I want Flora & Flow to offer: a place to connect with yourself and other people. A little time to turn inward create some peace, and feel into who you are and let the practice meet you where you actually are.

There will be movement, mindfulness, strength, and breath. There will also be music, laughter, and room to enjoy.

What Flora & Flow is about

Yoga without the competition with yourself or the person next to you. The practice is about noticing where you are and listening to where your body can take you that day.

Movement without pressure.

Room for joy.

Yoga can be serious and deeply personal without becoming rigid. Sometimes a moment of laughter helps release tension, reset, and bring us back to the present.

Strength in body & mind.

Strength can look like effort, steadiness, patience, focus, restaurant, or knowing when to back off. It's more than just physical.

Breath & awareness.

Sometimes the practice moves. Sometimes it slows down. Either way, there's space to note what's happening in your body and respond to what you need.

Training & Continuing Education

Some Flora & Flow classes may include more fluid, rhythmic movement or a stronger flow. Others may spend more time with breath, balance mobility, or slower transitions.

Private sessions and collaborations can be shaped even more intentionally around the people in the room.

The goal isn't to fit everyone into one version of yoga. It's to create thoughtful practices with enough structure to guide you and enough flexibility to meet you where you are.

Practice that flows with the people, setting, and intention.

The Approach

Growing with the Community

Flora & Flow is still growing.

Alongside yoga classes, private sessions, and community collaborations, Flora & Flows will continue to explore ways to support people through different seasons of life.

Future offerings may include more prenatal and postpartum support, family--focused experiences, and other opportunities for movement, mindfulness and connection.

There's more than one way to find your flow.

Join a class, explore private yoga, or bring Flora & Flow into a gathering or collaboration.
